Robert John Allen is a British landscape designer who lives in Belgium, qualified in the UK in 1981 he designed gardens in London before being chosen by the British Council to carry out a study of the native flora of Mongolia, the results of which are to be found in the herbarium at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, UK
He moved to Brussels in 1986 and was employed by a prestigious company of landscape architects, before setting up his own business specialising in the creation of private gardens in the tradition of the “English Garden” school of design.
